Eat the Reich

Eat the Reich RPG · Eat the Reich Roleplaying Game

Eat the Reich

Eat the Reich is a standalone, rules-light tabletop story about bloodthirsty infiltrators striking at the heart of occupied Europe. It blends pulp action, covert operations, and dark humour into a tight, cinematic mission. You choose a monstrous operative, select a target, and watch plans collide with chaos as the night turns in your favour, or not. Players appreciate how quickly it accelerates, how it rewards bold ideas, and how every obstacle invites a stylish bite, a reckless stunt, or a well-timed quip.

A professional Game Master maintains a brisk pace, frames cinematic shots, and adjusts the tone from grindhouse absurdity to tense thriller. It is excellent for first-time players and veterans seeking a focused, memorable one-shot. Ideal for adult birthdays, after-work groups, or convention slots. Intense themes are managed with clear safety tools. Ready to book? Browse our Game Masters and choose the style that suits your group.

How to play Eat the Reich

On your turn, you state what you do. The Game Master explains the risks and what success might entail. You roll a handful of six-sided dice to see how they land, with higher results indicating cleaner victories. Good positioning, equipment, or teamwork can enhance your chances. Complications do not halt the story; they raise alarms, initiate chases, and present difficult choices. The rules remain straightforward so the table can concentrate on bold moves, engaging narration, and keeping the mission clock ticking.

What do you need? A character concept, a couple of lines of backstory, and a taste for over-the-top action. Share any content boundaries upfront. The professional Game Master takes care of the rest, from pre-generated operatives and mission briefs to maps, tokens, and safety tools. Playing online is simple with video chat and shared dice rollers. See options on online play platforms.

One-shots are the default, a complete raid in about two to three hours with a clear objective and a bloody payoff. If your group desires more, you can chain operations into a short arc, allowing relationships to deepen and consequences to carry forward. The tone can remain outrageous or shift darker between missions, depending on what your table enjoys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to learn the rules first?

There’s no need to read anything beforehand. A professional Game Master will explain the rules as you play through the opening scene. You will roll small groups of six-sided dice to determine how your daring actions unfold, with higher results resolving complications. The emphasis is on describing bold actions rather than on charts. Expect a swift start, a few examples, and then quick turns. If you wish, the GM can provide a one-page cheat sheet before the game, but this is optional.

What group size and session length are most effective?

Eat the Reich is designed for 3 to 4 players, but can accommodate between 2 and 5. With two players, you’ll experience a tight commando atmosphere. With five, anticipate louder set pieces and more cross-talk, which the GM will manage. A complete mission typically lasts around two to three hours, including a short break and safety check-ins. The pacing is brisk, ensuring everyone has their moment in the spotlight. If your team prefers a bit more time for banter or infiltration, the GM can extend the session towards the upper end of that timeframe.

How does this differ from D&D?

This game is designed for a single covert operation, rather than an extended dungeon crawl. There are no long rests, spell slots, or grids to manage. You take on the role of stylish vampire commandos, relying on cinematic stunts while keeping bookkeeping to a minimum. Failures escalate the situation instead of halting the action, ensuring the story continues to unfold. Combat blends stealth with explosive moments, typically resolved in just a few rolls. It satisfies the desire for bold play and witty pulp war narratives, without the commitment of a full campaign.

How grim or gruesome is it, and can you adjust it?

Content includes World War II Nazis, blood, and violent vampiric powers. The tone is adjustable. Your GM will establish lines and veils with you, and can shift from grindhouse comedy to serious thriller, or anywhere in between. We check in during play and keep safety tools available, so you control what is depicted on screen. If tone is important to you, exploring different GM approaches can help you align with your group’s preferences. See examples of GM styles on GM playstyles.

Shall we create our own characters or use pre-generated operatives?

Both options are viable. For a quick start, the GM can provide pregenerated vampire commandos with unique powers and hooks. If your group prefers customisation, you can create operatives together in a brief, guided process at the beginning of the session. In either case, you only need a character concept and the atmosphere you wish to play in. To find out which GMs offer pregens or favour collaborative builds, check their profiles when you book on our Game Masters.

Is it a one-off, or can we continue across missions?

It shines as a focused one-off heist. If you are enjoying yourself, your GM can connect operations into a brief arc. Consequences from one raid influence the next, targets escalate, and relationships between operatives develop. Each chapter remains concise and impactful, ensuring the story stays energetic rather than sprawling. The tone can remain outrageous or shift to a darker theme between sessions, depending on what your group prefers. Expect a satisfying payoff each time, with threads you can revisit later.

What players think

  • First of all, I want to say that Sebastian was really great as a DM. For his first run as a booked DM, he did a really good job. The 3 stars refer to the following: 1. We were disappointed that the adventure was labelled a One Shot and yet wasn't a complete story. Discovering that there are two more parts wasn't very positive for us, as it meant there was no satisfying conclusion to the story. 2. As new players, it was difficult for us to understand the English character sheets in such a short time. In German, it would have been much easier. Even receiving the character sheets a few days in advance would have been helpful for preparation. 3. More guidance would be beneficial. Especially for beginners, a more linear one shot would have been preferable. We wasted a large portion of the adventure time doing unnecessary things because we didn't really know how the game worked. Overall, I think the StoryForgers concept is really good and I see a lot of potential in it, especially for introducing new players to D&D. I hope you don't take my feedback the wrong way but as honest criticism. Best regards, Mario

  • Bryan was exceptional. We had a group with varying levels of experience, and he managed to keep everyone engaged and involved. His attitude was fantastic, and he made the game enjoyable for all. I particularly appreciated how he could clearly explain what was required from our less experienced players while keeping our more seasoned players on their toes with his extensive knowledge of the game. Everyone in our party had a wonderful time thanks to Bryan.

    Jeremy

  • Dayron was fantastic. Well-prepared, punctual, and had a brilliant sense of humour.

    Corey

  • Dayron was fantastic; he provided an excellent experience. Thank you!

    The Merry Meeple

  • The game was incredibly engaging. I arranged a session as a gift for my boyfriend, who is very enthusiastic about it, and he was thoroughly pleased and appreciated Leonardo's professionalism. I don't have much experience with DnD, but I found the game to be quite straightforward and enjoyable.

    Marina

  • A very good GM, Baptiste adapted well to our group and helped us progress in this one-shot. One issue was with the character sheets provided, which were not complete or clear. Some of the French translations were rather approximate. For instance, our cleric was missing spells (no healing spell) even though they were meant to have some.

    Pierre

  • Rachel was fantastic; my daughter and her friends left their game saying it was the most fun they'd ever had, and my daughter wanted to sign up for another game with her straight away. She was friendly, and her approach enabled the players to fully immerse themselves in the game by allowing them to control how they wanted their actions to be carried out. I would certainly work with her again.

    John

  • A pleasant and straightforward introduction to D&D. Amber was adept at explaining and guiding the game, allowing us as players to quickly get into the rhythm and concentrate on the narrative. Collaborating with my colleagues to devise attack strategies was an enjoyable experience and provided valuable insights into each other's characters, thought processes, and differences. Overall, I found it to be a highly enjoyable session.

  • Pim is truly brilliant as a DM! Cheerful, adaptable, and exceptionally experienced. With a group of novice players, he managed to create an amazing experience in just a few hours. He maintained control in an enjoyable manner and engaged every player in the story, regardless of whether they were vocal or reserved. If you embark on an adventure with him, it will certainly be unforgettable!
