I am Sir Alex of Forsyth and yes, I have definitely been knighted (but perhaps don't look too closely into it).

I've been playing Dungeons & Dragons for over a decade, starting all the way back in secondary school when I taught myself and my friends how to play. Since then, I've assisted many groups in getting started with D&D and I love helping beginners find their feet.

I've also run numerous long-form campaigns for various groups, and I have the experience to not only DM for more seasoned players but also to adapt and customise the game to your preferences.

By day, I am a professional actor with a background in performance for camera and voice, so be prepared for quirky NPCs with amusing voices and extravagant evil villain monologues.

If all that sounds like your cup of tea, then I would love to create a story just for you! Thank you for reading about me, and I hope we can embark on a great adventure together!

How I conduct games

I particularly enjoy Theatre of the Mind games, occasionally using a battle map for visual reference. I've facilitated a variety of sessions, ranging from combat-light, roleplay-heavy campaigns to high-lethality one-shots featuring tactical combat. Additionally, I've run some very loose, improv-heavy narratives that allow players the freedom to create chaos. I can conduct sessions both in person and online, and I'm more than willing to learn new systems at the players' request. I truly appreciate the Rule of Cool.

Game systems I facilitate

  • Dungeons & Dragons

    • High Fantasy +7
    • 1 – 7 players
    • Moderate rules

Forge your own fantasy tale with Dungeons & Dragons. Create a party of brave heroes, outsmart traps, negotiate with dragons, and claim treasure in vibrant worlds. Imagine the camaraderie of The Lord of the Rings, but you decide the paths, the battles, and the conclusion.

Learn more about me

The NPC my players won't part with…

was a Drow named Thrazz who was meant to be merely a caravan guard providing some exposition, but ended up travelling into the future, becoming a God of Time, and preventing the apocalypse.

My proudest moment as a Game Master…

was when my players arrived in the Hells and were meant to be conscripted into the Blood War, but thanks to some fortunate rolls, they found themselves in the manager's office instead to lodge a complaint. What began as a joke evolved into a spontaneous decision to transform our version of the Hells from fire and brimstone into a comically beige, bureaucratic, office-themed nightmare.

What I love most to hear from a player is...

I have an idea! Having worked with numerous new players, nothing excites me more than witnessing someone truly discover their character and seize the opportunity to join me in crafting our story together.
